The Board is requested to approve a list of legislative proposals concerning federal issues that impact North Carolina counties to submit to the North Carolina Association of County Commissioners. The NCACC Board of Directors will meet in December to review and approve a package of federal goals from the list of submissions.
Commissioners are requested to consider the scope of the impact in finalizing any federal goals sent forward. The NCACC approved federal goals will be presented during the NACo Legislative Conference to be held March 2-6, 2019 in Washington, DC.

County Manager’s Recommendation: The County Manager recommends that the Board approve a final list of federal goals and direct staff to forward to NCACC for consideration.
