The Board is requested to approve Budget Ordinance Amendment No. 19BCC000023 to recognize $59,413 from the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services Division of Public Health. This funding allows Local Health Departments to implement one or more strategies from North Carolina’s Opioid Action Plan to prevent fatal and non-fatal opioid overdoses, increase access and linkages to care services for the most vulnerable populations, and build local capacity to respond to the overdose epidemic in North Carolina.
The Board of Health has approved this amendment. Please note that this amendment requires no additional County funds.
