The Board is requested to approve a budget amendment in the amount of $1,465,968.03 to appropriate restricted funds for the Sheriff's Office, Fire Marshall, Public Health, Social Services and Library These revenues are unspent monies that were received in FY2019 for restricted purposes. These monies were restricted in fund balance in FY2019. This is an annual process in which County departments identify remaining (unspent) restricted revenue (e.g., grant, federal/state award, donations, etc.). Because they are restricted in fund balance, there is no impact on unassigned fund balance or the fund balance as a percentage of total general fund expenditures. This is a budgetary entry only for FY2020 to allow the spending of the restricted monies for the purposes of which they were received.
