The Board is requested to approve Budget Ordinance Amendment No. 24BCC00081 Public Health to Recognize a Donation of $1,000 from Dr. Nadine Barrett to Support Activities of the Men’s Health Council.
Durham County Department of Public Health (DCoDPH) was awarded funds from Dr. Nadine Barrett to support activities of the Men’s Health Council. The Men’s Health Council was established in 2014 and works with volunteers to promote health and conduct outreach for the volunteers to mentor others. There are no restrictions related to this donation.
The Board of Health has approved this amendment.
Alignment with Strategic Plan: The donation aligns with Strategic Goal 2: Health and Well-being for All by providing services to promote health and educate the public with the goal to prevent death and disability related to chronic conditions.
