The Board is requested to approve Budget Ordinance Amendment No. 24BCC00084 Social Services to Recognize Funds in the amount of $45,734 to Temporarily Assist Social Services in Addressing Identified Placement Needs for Children.
These funds are intended to temporarily assist county departments of social services in addressing identified placement needs for children in the custody of the agencies who are awaiting a Medicaid leveled treatment placement. While children await the location of the placement, these funds can be used to prevent them from staying in a DSS office.
Alignment with Strategic Plan: Goal 2: Health and Well-being for All which decrease health disparities within the community and Goal 3: Safe and Secure Community to improve outcomes for vulnerable, children, youth, and adults.
