The Board is requested to authorize the County Manager and Chief Financial Officer to execute the letter of intent to fulfill the Local Government notification requirements for the loan for Chin Page lift station.
North Carolina Department of Environmental Quality, Division of Water Infrastructure (DWI) issued Durham County a Letter of Intent to Fund the proposed Chin Page Lift Station with a Clean Water State Revolving Fund loan in the amount of $19,298,025. A requirement of the acceptance of the loan is to submit a letter to Committee Chairs, Committee Assistant, and the Fiscal Research Division of the General Assembly and present it before the Local Government Commission.
Alignment with Strategic Plan: This action is in accordance with Durham County Strategic Plan Goal 1 “Community and Family Prosperity and Enrichment,” as well as supporting Goal 4 “Environmental Stewardship and Community Prosperity.”
