The Board is requested to issue a resolution celebrating Women’s History Month for March 2024 in Durham County. The purpose of the resolution is to acknowledge and honor Women’s History Month in Durham County, bringing awareness and celebration to the experiences and contributions of women in Durham County. Women’s History Month has been observed annually since 1987 and celebrates women and their contributions to history, culture, and society. We are committed to fostering a culture of inclusivity, diversity, and understanding within Durham County. Together, we strive to acknowledge, learn from, and appreciate the diverse narratives that shape our collective history.
