The Board is requested to proclaim May 19-25, 2024 as EMS Week in Durham County in recognition of the essential service provided by the Durham County Emergency Medical Services System and the 50th Anniversary of EMS Week.
Alignment with Strategic Plan: This request aligns with the County’s Strategic Goal 3: Safe and Secure Community
Resource Persons: Mark Lockhart, NRP, OES Director and Gordon Smith, OES/EMS Interim Chief Paramedic
County Manager’s Recommendation: The County Manager recommends that the Board proclaim May 19-25, 2024 as EMS Week in Durham County in recognition of the essential service provided by the Durham County Emergency Medical Services System and the 50th anniversary of EMS Week.
