The Board is requested to authorize the County Manager to enter into a contract with Data Network Solutions in the amount of $70,493.74 using current fiscal year (2024-2025) IS&T operations funding. This contract will allow IS&T to secure the required maintenance, security and support services for the Durham County enterprise network security firewalls. Data Network Solutions (DNS) is the resale vendor for Palo Alto Networks and has more than 25 years of experience assisting businesses, education and public sector agencies in solving their most complex IT challenges as well as Palo Alto diamond partners, cyberforce heroes on staff and CPSP (Certified Professional Services Partner). The Data Network Solutions team provides critical support for DCO Palo Alto networks. Palo Alto networks is the next-generation security company maintaining trust in the digital age by helping tens of thousands of organizations worldwide prevent cyber breaches. Data Network Solutions will provide premium advanced wildfire subscription, advanced URL filtering, threat prevention and hardware support for both firewalls and panorama devices.
