The Board is requested to authorize the County Manager to enter into a contract with J&A Engineering Consultants for Security Engineering Design & Construction Administration Services for Multiple Durham County Sites- Phase 3 S2 Upgrade in the amount of $64,990.00. Phase 3 will be a Multi-Site upgrade project sites to be upgraded: EMS Station #2, EMS Station #6, East Regional Library, Southwest Regional Library, Main Library, Admin 1, Admin 2, General Service Warehouse and HHS. Funding will come from the current fiscal year budget.
Alignment with Strategic Plan: This item is in line with Strategic Objective #3 A safe and secure society for all, and Strategic Objective #5 a responsible, effective, and visionary government, to provide modern effective security and access control to County buildings.

County Manager’s Recommendation: The County Manager recommends that the Board authorize the County Manager to execute a contract with J&A Engineering Consultants for Security Engineering Design & Construction Administration Services for Multiple Durham County Sites- Phase 3 in the amount of $64,990.00.
