The Board is requested to recognize Grace Elaine Laws, Engineering and Environmental Services, for receiving the 2024 President's Lifetime Achievement Award. Because of your work in the community, this prestigious award will be presented to you. The ceremony was held recently at North Carolina Central University and Ms. Laws, along with other notable honorees from Durham, were bestowed this honor.
Premiere Coalition Partners Association, a Maryland based company located in Silver Spring, Maryland was certified by the Points of Light Foundation in July 2021 to bestow and administer the President’s Volunteer Service Award Program. The President’s Volunteer Service Award is a civil award bestowed by the President of the United States. Established by executive order by George W. Bush, the award was established to honor volunteers that give hundreds of hours per year helping others.
The U.S. President’s Call to Service Lifetime Achievement Award is the most prestigious, and it has been awarded to a select few of Americans to recognize over 4,000 hours of extraordinary service including notable honorees such as S. Truett Cathy, Mark Carman, and Zach Bonner.
