The Board is requested to approve a contract with NWN Corporation in the amount of $719,856.22 for server room upgrades at the Durham County Sheriff's Office. Funding for this contract currently exists within the IT Sheriff Server Room Upgrade Capital Project.

Our current IT infrastructure, composed of separate systems for computing, storage, and networking, presents challenges in terms of management complexity, operational inefficiencies, and escalating costs. The currently installed data system is more than 4 years old and has reached end of life. Per technology best practices, the replacement lifecycle is 3 years.
