The Board is requested to read the MLK Day Community Poem 2025.
This poem was created in honor of Dr. King and those who, like him, helped us to imagine a more just, inclusive world. Led by Durham County Cooperative Extension’s Kids Voting Durham program, nearly 100 Durham community dreamers, ranging in age from 5-88 years old, contributed to the poem.
Alignment With Strategic Plan: This item aligns with all Strategic Goals of Durham County.

County Manager’s Recommendation: The County Manager recommends that the Board read the MLK Day Community Poem 2025.
