The Board has been requested to issue a resolution celebrating Women’s History Month in Durham County. The purpose of the resolution is to acknowledge and honor Women’s History Month in Durham County, bringing awareness and celebration to the experiences and contributions of women in Durham County. Women’s History Month, a celebration of women and their contributions to history, culture and society has been observed annually in the month of Mach in the United States since 1987. We are committed to fostering a culture of inclusivity, diversity, and understanding within Durham County. Together, we strive to acknowledge, learn from, and appreciate the diverse narratives that shape our collective history.
