The Board is requested to approve Capital Project Amendment No. 25CPA0012 and Budget Ordinance Amendment No.25BCC023 appropriating $626,373.59 of Debt Service Fund funding and transferring it to the PAYGO Fund to cover sales tax on radio purchases made under three county capital projects: Multi-Department Radio & Tower Capital Project ($580,524.32); Durham Public Schools Radio Replacement Capital Project ($23,837.70); and the Durham Technical Community College Radio Replacement Capital Project ($22,011.57).
This amendment adds sufficient budget to the three capital projects to cover sales tax associated with the radio purchases. The projects were initially approved by the Durham County Board of Commissioners on August 12, 2024.
