General Services requests approval of Brady proposal F4-fEDAA0-26-003 through OMNIA Partners Contract 3341. Brady will recover the refrigerant and remove and dispose of the existing HVAC system, then furnish and install two new 10-ton Trane split systems on the 11th-floor balcony on top of the elevator machine room. The work includes refrigerant piping, ductwork, insulation, electrical service, smoke-detector controls, a programmable thermostat, rigging, startup, and inspection. The contract price is $201,750.00, plus applicable North Carolina sales tax. The purchase will use the cooperative purchasing program exemption. The funding will be through HVAC CIP Program WBS#4190420030076402.
Alignment with Strategic Plan: This contract aligns with Sustainable Infrastructure and Environment by maintaining and improving the County's built systems. Replacing the courthouse elevator machine-room HVAC system will support reliable elevator operations, improve cooling reliability, and extend equipment service life.
