Request for Board Action:

Agenda Text

The Board is requested to approve ARPA Grant Ordinance Amendment No.27ARPA001 moving funding between Functional Areas to reflect final project alignment and approve reallocation of funds from underbudget projects. These reconciliations ensure that the ARPA Grant Ordinance reflects the amounts budgeted for individual projects charged to the various Functional Areas, as well as reserve amounts for County expenditures through the end of the ARPA period on December 31, 2026. In addition, the Board is asked to approve the reallocation of currently unobligated funds totaling $685,413 stemming from a voluntary budget reduction for the County’s ARPA Homeless Services Grant awarded to Housing for New Hope. This reallocation will approve utilizing the unobligated funds to increase the total ARPA funding budgeted for the Shiloh Glen Lift Station project from the current amount of $14,825,604 to $15,361,017 (for a total increase of $535,413) and increase the amount budgeted for ARPA administration from $861,152 to $1,011,152 (total increase of $150,000) to ensure sufficient staffing for administrative responsibilities in the Organizational Effectiveness and Finance departments through the end of the ARPA performance period.

Through this action, including the reallocation, the ARPA Grant Ordinance will reflect the following amounts by Functional Area:
