The Board is requested to authorize the County Manager to execute the attached contract in the amount of $225,000 with the Greater Durham Chamber of Commerce for FY 2026-2027 business recruitment and expansion services.
The Scope of Services reflects the economic development responsibilities carried out by the Chamber and defines outcome metrics that are in alignment with the County’s Strategic Plan. This year’s Scope reflects program strategies for business recruitment and retention, data collection, marketing, and workforce development. Additionally, the Scope of Services outlines reporting to occur between the agencies in fulfillment of the services described within the scope. Funds for this agreement were included as part of the FY 2026-2027 Approved Budget.

County Manager’s Recommendation: The County Manager recommends that the Board authorize the County Manager to execute the attached contract with the Greater Durham Chamber of Commerce for services related to business recruitment and expansion in the amount of $225,000 in FY 2026-2027.
