The Board is requested to approve Brady Trane Services, Inc. in the amount of $104,985.17 for heating service and Johnson Controls, in the amount of $99,462.19, for cooling services for a combined annual amount of $204,447.36 for yearly HVAC Service for various buildings throughout the County and the authority to execute change orders/amendments to the contracts, as long as, funds are available .

These contracts are being recommended based on the RFP# 26-033 evaluation and the service category each vendor is best matched to provide. Brady Trane Services, Inc. will provide heating-related service, including boilers, water heaters, and associated heating equipment. Johnson Controls will provide cooling-related service, including chillers, cooling towers, and associated cooling equipment. If approved, these contracts will provide continued HVAC service for Durham County Government equipment. Services will include preventive maintenance, yearly internal inspections, cleanings, and other required tasks necessary to meet manufacturer specifications and support reliable equipment operation.
Alignment with Strategic Plan: These contracts align with Sustainable Infrastructure and Environment, maintaining, protecting, and improving natural and built systems to support a sustainable community. It will allow us to service and make needed repairs to the facilities, improving the function and extending equipment's longevity.
