The Board is requested to approve Budget Ordinance Amendment No. 27BCC033 Public Health to Appropriate $525,668.56 General Fund fund balance appropriation to Increase Durham County’s Contract with Wellpath to Provide Comprehensive Medical Services for Inmates in the Durham County Detention Center and Residents of the Durham County Youth Home. The Board is requested to approve a one-month term extension of October 1, 2026-October 31, 2026. Furthermore, The Board is requested to approve and authorize the County Manager, subject to the County Attorney Office’s review and approval of the contract’s terms and conditions, to enter into a contract with Wellpath.
This amount will supplement the original budget by increasing the following lines on the current contract through September 30, 2027:
