The Board is requested to review and provide comments on the proposed Orange Factory Heritage Community.
Summary
The community of Orange Factory seeks the County of Durham’s recognition as a Heritage Community, and its associated benefits. The Planning & Development Department established a “Heritage Communities” program to honor and celebrate historical communities in Durham County that currently do not have, may not be eligible for, or do not desire local or national district status.
