The Board is requested to approve Budget Amendment Ordinance No. 26BCC018 the Opioid Settlement Fund to Recognize $72,560 from Opioid Settlement Funding to Increase the Budget for the Post Overdose Response Team (Strategy 8) to Support the addition of a Peer Support Specialist FTE to Assist Emergency Service’s Opioid Community Paramedics
Alignment with Strategic Plan: This initiative supports the Strategic Plan Focus Area: Community Well-being for All by promoting evidence-based strategies aimed at reducing the risk of overdose among individuals with opioid use disorder, co-occurring substance use disorders, or mental health conditions.
