The Board is requested to receive an update on the ARPA project entitled UNITE Street Medicine, which stands for Unsheltered Neighbor Interventions, Therapies, and Engagement.
Housing for New Hope facilitates the initiative in collaboration with Central Pines Regional Council and several partner organizations, including Durham County, the Holistic Empathetic Assistance Response Team (HEART), Durham Tech, SOAR Works, Open Table Ministry, the LGBTQ Center of Durham, the Street Medicine Institute, Cleveland Psychological Services, Uplift Laundry Truck, and Urban Ministries of Durham. Known as "The Green Team," UNITE brings healthcare directly to Durham's unsheltered neighbors, meeting them where they are.
