1. Early Voting for the Municipal General Election Oct. 16 to Nov. 1 - Early Voting for the 2025 Municipal General Election runs from Thursday, Oct. 16 through Saturday, Nov. 1. There are five early voting locations - North Regional, East Regional, South Regional, NCCU Turner Law Building, and the Durham County Board of Elections main office at 3825 S. Roxboro Street. 2. Kids Voting Durham Candidate Forum - Ever wonder what Durham would be like if youth under 18 had a voice or how much more engaging and interesting a Candidate Forum could be if it was run entirely by young people themselves? Find out by coming to the all youth-led Kids Voting Durham Youth Candidate Forum on Thursday, October 16 from 6-8:30 p.m. at Hillside High School, meet the candidates that want to be Durham's Mayor & City Council, and find out how fun and interesting a candidate forum can actually be! There will be food & prize drawings for gift cards from local businesses! All are welcome, but only youth get to ask questions and interact with the candidates. 3. County Seeks Input on New BRT Vision Plan - Durham County is developing a Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) Vision Plan to examine corridor improvements and service investments for a network of high-capacity transit services in Durham County. The Transportation Department is looking for community input to ensure it reflects local priorities.
