The Board is requested to approve the resolution honoring the world champion Bouncing Bulldogs Jump Rope Team. For more than 30 years, this celebrated and innovative team has gained an international reputation for success. Under the leadership of Ray Frederick, Jr. this team has developed student athletes into successful adults and has been featured in the national media including the CBS Evening News and in a Discovery Channel Documentary Film entitled DOUBLETIME.
Alignment With Strategic Plan: This item aligns with Goal 1: Community Empowerment and Enrichment.
Resource Persons: Ellen Reckhow, Durham County Commissioner and Ray Frederick, Jr. Founder/Director.
County Manager’s Recommendation: The County Manager recommends that the Board approve the resolution and present to Mr. Ray Frederick, Jr. along with sincere congratulations.
