The Board is requested to approve Budget Ordinance Amendment No. 25BCC018 to Recognize $72,204 from the NC DHHS Division of Public Health Epidemiology Section Communicable Disease Section Branch

 

This grant provides funding through Agreement Addendum 583 Refugee Health to the Local Health Department (LHD) to help support activities associated with the number of Refugee arrivals to Durham County, which has exceeded expectations with an increased number of screenings, for a new total 725 screenings.

 

The Board of Health has approved this amendment.

 

Alignment with Strategic Plan: This grant aligns with Strategic Goal 2: Health and Well-being for All by providing additional resources for Refugee Health Assessments for the increased numbers of refugees arriving.
