The Board is requested to issue a resolution celebrating National Hispanic Heritage Month 2024 in Durham County.
The purpose of the resolution is to acknowledge and honor Hispanic History Month in Durham County, bringing awareness and celebration to the experiences and contributions of the Hispanic and Latinx community in Durham County. Hispanic Heritage Month provides the opportunity to honor the rich contributions, achievements, and resilience of the Hispanic community throughout history. We are committed to fostering a culture of inclusivity, diversity, and understanding within Durham County. Together, we strive to acknowledge, learn from, and appreciate the diverse narratives that shape our collective history.
