Request for Board Action:
Agenda Text
The Board is requested to approve a contract with Boundtree Medical for the purchase of UEScope Video Laryngoscopes to replace outdated video laryngoscopes. The Office of Emergency Services (OES) will utilize existing capital budget funds for EMS equipment replacement in the amount not to exceed $146,073.12 utilizing Buy Board cooperative purchasing group exemption.
EMS has utilized King Vision video laryngoscopes for several years; however, the manufacturer has discontinued both the device and its essential components. As critical parts, such as the compatible blades, are no longer available for purchase, EMS must transition to a new video laryngoscope system. Following a comprehensive field evaluation of multiple brands, EMS has selected the UEScope as the replacement for the King Vision.
