The Board is requested to approve a resolution honoring the Southern School of Energy and Sustainability’s Boys Basketball Championship. The team defeated Mooresville High School on March 14, 2026, and finished the season with an outstanding 28-3 record.
Commissioners have invited Coach Greg Motley, his coaching staff and team members, to attend the meeting and receive accolades on behalf of a proud community.
Alignment with Strategic Plan: This item aligns with all of Durham County’s Strategic Goals.

County Manager’s Recommendation: The County Manager recommends that the Board approve the resolution and present to the Southern coach, staff and team along with sincere congratulations from the Durham community.
