The Board is requested to proclaim September as National Recovery Month in Durham County, NC.
For the past 10 years the Recovery Community of Durham has been honored to host a recovery event to celebrate September as National Recovery Month and demonstrate that people can and do recover from mental and substance use disorders every day right here in Durham, NC. This Years tag line is RECOVERY IS REAL (Restoring Every Aspect of Life). We will present inspiring speakers, music and entertainment, resource and recovery vendors, food, fun and family activities and a moment of remembrance.
This event is free and the public is invited to join us at Fellowship Hall, Elizabeth St UMC 1209 N. Elizabeth St 27701 on Saturday, September 26th from 3:30 to 7:30 pm.
