The Board is requested to approve Budget Amendment No: 27BCC007 distributing the Board approved 2% Cost of Living Adjustment (COLA) for FY 2026-27, totaling $3,600,000, between respective Budget Ordinance approved functional areas. The funding and COLA amounts were approved as part of the FY 2026-27 Approved budget. Initially, for maximum flexibility, all of the funds were placed in the General Government functional area during this year's process. Now that the budget and COLA are approved this budget amendment (administrative action) distributes the COLA funding to various departments across the General Fund as necessary for implementation.

Note: The $3.6 million was all budgeted in General Government. Some of it will remain in that functional area and, like other areas, be distributed out of the Non-Departmental business area into respective departments within the General Government function.
