The Board is requested to issue a resolution celebrating Jewish American Heritage Month for May 2024 in Durham County. The purpose of the resolution is to acknowledge and honor Jewish American Heritage Month in Durham County, bringing awareness and celebration to the experiences and contributions of the Jewish community in Durham County. Jewish American Heritage Month has been celebrated nationally since 2006 to recognize the vibrant and varied American Jewish experience. We are committed to fostering a culture of inclusivity, diversity, and understanding within Durham County. Together, we strive to acknowledge, learn from, and appreciate the diverse narratives that shape our collective history.
