The Board is requested to approve the FY27 Transit Work Program (Work Program) Special Q1 Amendment.
As part of the appropriations process for the Durham County Transit Plan, an annual Work Program is developed to outline the budget for the upcoming fiscal year. The 2023 Transit Governance Interlocal Agreement (ILA) establishes the process for developing and approving this budget. In accordance with the ILA, the Work Program must be approved by both the Durham Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) and the GoTriangle Board of Trustees.
The Work Program was approved by the BOCC on June 8, 2026, and by the GoTriangle Board of Trustees on June 24, 2026.
To fully evaluate GoTriangle’s proposal for Route 800 and Route DRX Improvements, the Durham Staff Working Group (SWG) unanimously voted to recommend approval of the FY27 Transit Work Program Special Q1 Amendment. This amendment was also approved by the GoTriangle Board of Trustees on June 24.
