The Board is requested to authorize the County Manager to enter into a service contract with McGill Environmental Systems, Inc. (RFP# 26-032) for the transport and disposal of approximately 7,000 wet tons per year of wastewater treatment plant residuals with a total annual contract price of $569,660 and to execute any other related contracts, including amendments, not to exceed $626,626.
Alignment with Strategic Plan: This action is in accordance with Durham County Strategic Goal: “Sustainable Infrastructure & Environment,” as this contract allows for the disposal and beneficial reuse of the Triangle Wastewater Treatment Plant’s residuals as compost.

County Manager’s Recommendation: The County Manager recommends the Board to authorize the County Manager to enter into a contract with McGill Environmental Systems, Inc. for the transport and disposal of approximately 7,000 wet tons per year of wastewater treatment plant residuals with a total annual contract price of $569,660 and to execute any other related contracts, including amendments, not to exceed $626,626.
