The Board is requested to approve Budget Ordinance Amendment No. 25BCC019 Public Health to Recognize $140,350 from the NC DHHS Division of Public Health Epidemiology Section of the Communicable Disease Branch for COVID-19.

 

These funds will be used to support communicable disease surveillance, detection, control, and prevention activities to address the COVID-19 public health emergency and other communicable disease challenges impacted by the COVID-19 public health emergency. 

 

Please note that this amendment requires no additional County funds.

 

The Board of Health has approved this amendment.

 

Alignment with Strategic Plan: This grant aligns with Strategic Goal 2: Health and Well-being for All by providing more resources for COVID-19.
