Agenda Text
The Board is requested to exercise the Option and authorize the Manager to accept the donation of a 5.67-acre parcel located at 1207 Shiloh Glenn Drive (REID 233426).
The owners of 1207 Shiloh Glenn Drive, which is adjacent to the County’s newly constructed Shiloh Glenn Pump Station, contacted County staff offering to donate this property in exchange for the County paying their 2026 real estate taxes in the amount of $1,462.66. The parcel is 5.67 mostly wooded acres and partially in a flood plain. The County currently has an access easement over a portion of the property for maintenance of the pump station. The Utilities Division and Engineering Management see this donation as beneficial to the County for a future expansion of the pump station.
Please see the attached Option from the property owners. If accepted, the owners will convey the property to the County via general warranty deed.
Total costs to the County (2026 property taxes, preparation of the deed, excise tax, and recordation fees) will total less than $3,500.00 and be paid from the Utilities Enterprise Fund. No additional County funding is needed.
Alignment with Strategic Plan: This agenda item supports the County’s plans for long-term use of County land and facilities
