The Board is requested to approve Budget Ordinance Amendment No. 27BCC051 appropriating $1,654,000 from General Fund fund balance for two contracts approved in FY 2025-26 for the Sheriff’s Office. On May 26, 2026, the Board of County Commissioners approved $275,000 to purchase Audio-Visual Equipment for the Sheriff’s Office RTP Annex. On June 1, 2026, the Board suspended rules and approved $1,379,000 in General Fund fund balance for year one of a contract with TKC Management Services for facility management at the Durham County Detention Center. Funding for both of these items was not encumbered by June 30, 2026, and therefore reverted to General Fund fund balance. This item will reappropriate those funds in FY 2026-27.
