The Board is requested to approve Capital Project Amendment No.27CPA011 appropriating $1,649,000 of Sewer Utility Fund Fund Balance to the TWWTP Rehabilitation and Upgrade for the Triangle Wastewater Treatment Plant (TWWTP) Project SE063. The Board is also requested to authorize the County Manager to enter into a service contract amendment with Hazen and Sawyer to provide engineering services for the TWWTP Rehabilitation and Upgrade Project (FR 24-715) in the amount of $1,649,000 bringing the total contract amount from $1,053,026 to $2,702,026 with a not to exceed of $2,912,635.

Project Background:
The Scope of Services has been broken into three categories with multiple tasks included as part of each one. To date Category 1 has been completed which included the Basis of Design Report, Equipment Pre-Selection for the UV Disinfection System, UV Disinfection System 30% Design, and Evaluation of the Reclaimed Water System.
This approval will cover tasks within Category 2 that have been determined to be the priority to remain in compliance. Tasks included are:
