Standard Non-Reimbursable Utility Contracts for County Sewer System Extensions

The Board is requested to authorize the County Manager to execute two (2) Utility Contracts for extensions of the County sewer system. These contracts are the County's Standard Non-Reimbursable Contract. Attached are the project location maps (Attachment A-1 and A-2), and the Standard Non-Reimbursable Utility Contract (Attachment B). The contracts are for the following projects:
1. Park Place Members, LLC - to extend the County sewer system by connection of approximately 710 linear feet of 12-inch gravity sewer line, and approximately 298 feet of 8-inch gravity sewer line to serve The Reserve at Park Place Apartments, located at 5602 Comstock Road in Durham.
2. Cree, Inc. -. to extend the County sewer system by connection of approximately 350 linear feet of 16-inch gravity sewer line to serve the Cree North Campus Expansion, located at 4300 Silicon Drive in Durham.
The developers of these projects have remitted all sewer extension fees, and the North Carolina Department of Environment and Natural Resources (NCDENR) sewer extension approvals have been granted.
ALIGNMENT WITH STRATEGIC PLAN: These sewer extension contracts are in accordance with the Durham County Strategic Plan Goal of Accountable, Efficient and Visionary Government, as these extensions are necessary to support both residential and industrial development.

COUNTY MANAGER'S RECOMMENDATION: The County Manager recommends that the Board authorize the County Manager to execute two (2) Utility Contracts for extensions of the County sewer system.
