Agenda Text

The Board is requested to approve Budget Ordinance Amendment No. 18BCC000032 to recognize a $500 donation to support the work of the Local Reentry Council. Durham County Criminal Justice Resource Center (CJRC) was notified by Dennis Gaddy, Executive Director of Community Success Initiative, that his organization had received a donation and had been asked to share it with the Wake and Durham Local Reentry Councils.

The donation will be used to support the efforts of Durham’s reentry council. The Local Reentry Council coordinates services and resources at the local level for justice involved individuals in an attempt to reduce recidivism. CJRC serves as the Intermediary Agency overseeing and facilitating the Local Reentry Council in Durham.
