The Board is requested to approve Budget Ordinance Amendment No. 18BCC000033 reducing Debt Service Fund revenue by $187,926 and decreasing Debt Service Fund expenditures by the same amount.
The Board of County Commissioners approved Debt Service Fund budget for FY2017-18 included a transfer of revenue from the Special Revenue Funds to support the estimated cost of financing of three (3) vehicles for the Durham County Fire and Rescue Service District. The purchase of these vehicles will be now funded using a different revenue source to be determined pending final discussions regarding consolidation with the Durham City Fire Department. Therefore, revenue in the Debt Service Fund will be reduced by $187,926 (transfer in from Special Revenue Funds) and expenditures will be reduced by a corresponding amount (reserve for future purchases).
