1) Please help Kids Voting Durham spread the word about our upcoming Youth Candidate Forum Tuesday, April 17 from 6:30-8:30 pm at Hillside High School. As you know, Kids Voting forums are led by students for other students and offer a chance to have in-depth conversations with candidates about the issues that are important to young people. And even though only the under 18 participants get to ask questions at this forum, adults can learn a lot by listening to candidates talk with students. You can also find more information about how youth, adults, schools and others can get involved in the May Kids Voting Durham elections and events at www.kidsvotingdurham.org/elections <http://www.kidsvotingdurham.org/elections>.
2) Mark your calendar! The last round of N.C. 98 Corridor Study public meetings is this April. These meetings will be held in an "open house" format. Attendees may come any time between the hours listed below to learn about the project, ask questions, and provide input to the project team. The event will take place Monday, April 16, 2018, 5:00-7:00 p.m. at the Durham County Library, 211 Lick Creek Lane, Durham, NC 27703.
