Agenda Text
The Board is requested to hear a brief presentation on the upcoming 2020 Census. The U. S. Constitution requires that a count or census be taken each decade. Billions of dollars are distributed by the federal government to states and communities based on U. S. Census Bureau data. The Census also determines how many representatives each state receives in Congress.
New technology is being introduced this time to make it easier for citizens to respond to the Census. Partnership Specialists are currently meeting with local government officials in preparation for a successful Census.
