The Board is requested to receive an overview of the work accomplished by the Durham Youth Commission during the previous year and anticipated activities for the upcoming year. This presentation was requested as part of a Board directive from earlier this year.
The Durham Youth Commission provides civic education, leadership development and service learning opportunities for Durham’s high school-aged youth, 9th through 12th grade.

Resource Persons: Deborah Craig-Ray, General Manager, Strategic Planning and Innovation; A’lice Frazier, Youth Initiatives Manager, Office on Youth, City Manager’s Office; Rita Kibicho and Henry Cruz Reyes, Durham Youth Commission Members.
County Manager’s Recommendation: The County Manager recommends that the Board receive the presentation of the Annual Report from the Durham Youth Commission.
