Medicaid Transformation is a bold new direction for the delivery of Medicaid services in North Carolina, creating a true managed care system for recipients of the program. With the shift from “fee for service” to “managed care,” there is the goal to improve overall health outcomes for the Medicaid population and increase and improve access to care and services. The Department of Social Services, in partnership with Durham County Public Health and Duke Division of Community Health, will provide an overview of Medicaid Transformation and the changes both clients and providers will see over the next three years.
