Body

At the direction of the Commissioners, the County Attorney’s Office has reviewed and revised Article II, of Chapter 17 of the Durham County Code of Ordinances concerning the discharge of weapons in the County and the possession of weapons on County property.  These revisions reflect changes in the laws of North Carolina which have restricted the authority of the Commissioners to regulate some of the activities previously addressed in the ordinance, as well as changes in the process for approval of subdivisions, and the input of the Commissioners from the December work session.
