The Board is requested to proclaim March 1-31, 2019, as Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month in Durham County. The Board is asked to read and present this proclamation created to bring attention to colorectal cancer awareness, the second leading cause of cancer death among men and women combined in the United States.
Alignment with Strategic Plan: The proclamation aligns with Goal 2: Health and Wellbeing for All

County Manager’s Recommendation: The County Manager recommends that the Board to proclaim March 1-31, 2019, as Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month.
