1. Rabies Vaccinations - The Durham County Sheriff's Office is offering Rabies Vaccinations at the Animal Services Division located on 3005 Glenn Road on Tuesdays & Thursdays from 10 a.m. - 12 p.m. and 2p.m. - 4 p.m. There is a $10 cash only fee and citizens must bring their photo ID. 2. Northern Durham Convenience Center Community Open House - Join Durham County staff as they unveil the site plan for a new Solid Waste Convenience Center on U.S. Highway 501 between Rougemont and Bahama. With more capacity and better user amenities, the proposed facility will replace the Bahama and Rougemont Convenience sites.

Please join us on Tuesday, March 19th at any time between 6:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. at the Bahama Ruritan Club located on 8202 Stagville Rd. to learn more about the project and the services and amenities planned for the new Durham North Convenience Center. Project team members will be available to discuss the project.

3. Donate Books to the Friends of the Durham Library - Donations are accepted every Tuesday 9 a.m. - 12 p.m. between Sears and Catherines on the exterior of Northgate Mall located at 1058 W. Club Blvd. Volunteers are available to help unload your vehicle if needed. For questions, please call 919-560-7159 or email FODLdonations@gmail.com.

4. Give us your Needles - The Durham County Safe Syringe Program aims to keep you and our community safe. Pick up your free Naloxone Kits from the Pharmacy at the Durham County Human Services Building located at 414 E. Main Street between 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p. m. Monday - Friday.
