1. Tax Relief Program: Information Session Hosted by Durham County Tax Administration Office - April 9th beginning at 12p.m. at the Durham Center for Senior Life Theatre located at 406 Rigsbee Avenue. At this event citizens will learn about Homestead Property Tax Exemption for seniors and disabled residents along with other tax relief programs offered to North Carolinians.

This event is free and open to the public.

2. Your Insight Is Needed - As the County prepares the FY2019-20 budget, public comment is a vital component. Please let the Board of County Commissioners know the priorities you support by visiting the online Budget Comment Portal at www.dconc.gov/19-20budgetportal

3. Calling All Durham Youth - Over 22 percent of the Durham population are youth under 18. City Council, the Mayor and other decision-makers would like to know what you think and need your ideas for a better Durham.

Take the Kids Voting Youth Survey on Durham at www.kidsvotingdurham.org . The survey is open to anyone 18 years of age or under. For questions, please call 919-560-7321 or email info@kidsvotingdurham.org

4. Technology Mobile Open House - Come celebrate the National Bookmobile Day in style on Wednesday, April 10th from 10:30a.m. - 11:30a.m. at the South Regional Library located at 4505 South Alston Avenue as we unveil the newest member of the library team - the Durham County Library Technology Mobile.

Please come out to enjoy a tour, pick up library swag and take home a maker project!
