Agenda Text
The Board is requested to approve the Inter-Governmental Agreement for the merger between Durham County ACCESS and the City of Durham's GoDurham ACCESS ADA Paratransit service and authorize the President of the County Board to sign and execute the Inter-Governmental Agreement between the parties.
Since 1998, Durham County ACCESS and the City of Durham as designated through an interlocal agreement have provided demand response transportation in a coordinated model to Durham County residents that are elderly, disabled, transportation disadvantaged or reside outside of the service area not served by the fixed route system.

Due to the current coordinated system there will be no disruption in service or impact to riders.
Alignment with Strategic Plan: Goal # 2: Health & Well Being for All. The merging of Durham County ACCES demand response with the City of Durham's GoDurham ACCESS will continue to meet the transportation needs of Durham rural county residents. This conne...
